¥ Our 2002/2003 roster of plays brought a lot of growth and opened us to a wider audience. Critics and audiences alike discovered and praised productions like Harry C. Cronin's Dooley and Joe Jennison's A Beautiful Man as great successes. ¥ Bill Picture of the SF Examiner described "Dooley" as "riveting" and Gene Price of the Bay Times wrote that it was an "intensely believable drama... a powerful visualization of the government's once prevalent and still existing attitude towards gays in the military." ¥ In September, "A Beautiful Man" took the 2003 SF Fringe Festival by storm and was named "Best Comedy" and shared "Best of Fringe" accolades, as well as a bouquet of Dean Goodman Awards. |
